Kids Summer Program
As AI advances and tasks continue to be automated, the hard work of imagination and learning is worth our time and effort. Instead of asking “will this be on the tests”, we explore "what’s possible?" Imagination is a skill and it requires effort. Pottery offers students a chance to slow down and connect through this hands-on experience. This program provides learning and creativity beyond traditional classroom, helping students transform their imagination, ideas, and emotions into beautiful, tangible art.
What Students Experience:
Wheel-throwing and hand building from our professional team
Small class setting with personalized coaching and peer support
Creative identity development through self-expression and exploration
Program Outcomes:
Students complete the program with at least four finished, glazed pieces and newfound confidence on their creative journey. They develop skills as both independent artists and generous collaborators through peer-support, building lasting friendships through shared experiences.
At the end of the cohort, parents and family members are invited to celebrate with an exhibition of finished work (gallery show) and sharing from your students.
What you’ll learn:
For beginners: learn the basic wheel throwing and hand building skills from a lump of clay to finished fired pieces such as cups and bowl, and explore different decorating techniques to add personalized style to your work.
For students with previous experience: explore closed forms such as lidded jars and vases and independent studies such as sculptures and altered forms, and explore different decorating techniques to add personalized style to your work.
